Kids Praise (Grades 1 through 5) is held in the GYM during the 11:00am service

Description of Ministry
A worship service JUST FOR KIDS!

Imagine a place where kids are striving to live the life that Jesus wants them to live. Where they can come and equip themselves to face the problems and challenges of their generation and put on the full armor of God. Imagine a place where the music is so cool, contemporary and engaging that the children leave singing the songs which help them remember biblical truths all week; where drama and video is used to teach this media-driven generation about how to live like Jesus at home, at school, and in their neighborhoods. Imagine a place where kids are having so much fun learning how awesome God is that they don't want to miss a single week.

Purpose of Ministry
We're committed to helping kids "SHINE LIKE STARS IN THE UNIVERSE" as they "HOLD OUT THE WORD OF LIFE" Philippians 2:15-16

Scripture		God's Word, the Bible is where we begin
Truth		We explore the Truths Jesus taught and lived
Apply		What does His Truth mean in my life?
Relationships		The Word draws us together as friends
Shine		The Word shines out of our hearts to others!

  Skills
• Love the LORD and love sharing the love of Christ with God's littlest people. We'll teach you everything else you need to know!

Specific Descriptions
Large Group Leader - serve on a TEAM that presents the Bible story each week through drama and other creative means. Really, you CAN do it!
• Serve with the love of Jesus
• Cooperate with other team members
• Meet with team every 4-6 weeks to plan and prepare ahead for Large-Group Bible Presentations
• Gather props, costumes, supplies or volunteers for presentations
• Be present most Sundays from 10:45am to noon in the gym for set-up, presentation and clean-up

Shepherd - No Preparation Needed!
• Serve children and families with the love of Jesus
• Serve regularly as scheduled each month, alone or job-sharing with others
• Receive prepared lesson by email each week
• Be present on scheduled Sunday in assigned area at 11:10am to greet children
• Build relationships with and among children in your group
• Shepherd your children during the Large-Group Presentation
• Listen and participate with your group

Music Leader
• Work with the Large Group team in selecting songs that go along with the lesson
• Use either live music or pre-recorded songs to lead worship
• Be present on scheduled Sunday in assigned area from 10:45am until noon

Large Group; Shepherds; Music Leaders
Kids Praise is Sunday mornings during the 11 o’clock worship service. Can’t serve every Sunday? Job-sharing is available. (Shepherds are asked to arrive by 11:00am to welcome and greet their kids.)
